I thought I'd share this Strategy/War based game I've been playing for the last month with the rest of you The game is made by Paradox Interactive and is available on steam for 24,99€ (Worth it ) Also the youtuber "Kootra" (of the creatures) is doing a lets play of this game. If you're not sure about the game you can also download and play the free demo on Steam -Grand

The only thing that I didn't like was the seemingly outdated graphics

Server? Right now i don't play multiplayer, theres a singleplayer campaign Basically you choose the starting area (Nords-Vikings, Swadians-not sure, Sarranid-Arabia,Khergit-barbarians, Vaegirs-Italy and some more, just try it out, hard to explain it all, you can get promoted to a marshall and such and go to war against whoever as well

Is the multiplayer just death match style or is it an open world mmo?

I believe the multiplayer is the fighting part only, not sure though. The SP is open world though Been playing it all day, all my troops but 3-4 are horse riders..

I played for about 30mins yesterday, I'm terrible at this game or I just keep fighting the wrong groups. I tried the fire and sword demo, I'm hopeful that the guns will get better

Guns? and I prefer Warband Also, what starting place did you choose? The start can be hard as alot of bandits might be overpowered in relation to you

Yeah the few battles I played were not well balanced. I had 10 troops or so against 6-7 and got murdered each time to the point I was out of money lol

I played warband for a couple hours last night, it was fun I have 29 troops 8 Calvary I did a few quests and I devoted to the green nation. I'm having a hard time finding battles, I managed to take out a caravan and took 6 prisoners. I went into enemy territory for a quest and got raped lol.
Any suggestions on where to find battles or make money?

For battles, ride around areas in your kingdom (Rhodoks ) as for money try selling your prisoners to Ransom Brokers in Taverns in the major cities (Bigger text then others, such as Sargoth,Reyjvadin etc.) Also if you're at war with anyone (talk to a vassal - I wish to ask you something - How goes the war) then go to villages in their area and choose Take Hostile Action - Loot and Burn, then when you are finished you get some money (1-200 Denars) and you can take their stuff, normally alot of Iron, furs, silk, food and such Also try leveling up your Trainer skill, every midnight your troops will get some training, perfect for low level troops.

this sounds waaaay to complicated. I think I'll just stick with something simple like redstone wiring.
