Hey sorry i'v been very inactive but i should be back now I know updates are bugging the server but when will we ever settle down to one server? It might just be me but after i created something like Castle of nothingness (server 1), Drew's island (server 2) or the mob trap (server 3) its sorta annoying to move on. Yes sometimes its nice to have a new surrounding but that's why you create a new house or a creation. Again i'm very sorry iv not been on and mostly its because of the new updates. Maybe i'm out of line saying this but i just want a server we can grow and expand.... Just me? Thanks -Drew

only reason we need to generate new worlds is to stay current with the releases. ex. 1.9 will have villagers, better swamps, and snow biomes back. The only way to get these is with a new map.
The idea i have is to restrict the map to a 500-1000 block circle then after a new update make that area bigger and it should generate terrain for 1.10,1.20 ect.

is that why sometimes you reach the end of the world while playing?

is that why sometimes you reach the end of the world while playing? yes, and i can change that on the fly but we should limit it at first

Yeah, I assumed that we, like so many other servers, have been doing resets with each major update so we can take advantage of the new biome generation. I prefer that to having a static old area by spawn. Though it does definitely discourage us from building the big awesome things.
